This is where Moorecraft was founded in 1966 and currently serves as the corporate headquarters and main manufacturing plant. The facility is located in the original Tarboro Industrial Park, near the Historic Downtown District and second oldest Town Common.
Moorecraft was first established in 1966 as Moorecraft Wood Products, Inc. At that time, Anaconda Wire and Cable had announced plans to build a plant in Tarboro, NC and was seeking a local supplier for nailed wood reels. Moorecraft's building plans and production layouts were designed through a cooperative effort from both Anaconda Wire and Cable and North Carolina State University. Since our founding in 1966, the manufacturing facility has grown from an original size of 10,000 square feet to the present size of over 60,000 square feet.
The manufacturing plant produces both nailed wooden reels and plywood reels.
The corporate staff manages all customer orders, quality procedures, customer service, production and shipping schedules and financial matters for Moorecraft; including both manufacturing plants and all of our warehouse and assembly locations.
